Dr Andrew Beck (Andy) is a Specialist Anaesthetist dedicated to ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidence throughout the surgical journey. With over 20 years of experience in medicine, he combines extensive clinical expertise with a calm, patient-focused approach.

Dr Beck graduated from the University of Queensland in 2005 and has been practising as a Specialist Anaesthetist since 2014. He completed advanced training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care across Australia and the United Kingdom, gaining experience in a wide range of clinical settings.

His practice spans procedures from routine day surgeries to complex operations in tertiary hospitals. During his training, Dr Beck undertook additional fellowships in Advanced Head and Neck Surgery, Neuroanaesthesia, Perioperative Medicine, and Medical Education at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, UK.

Since 2020, Dr Beck has been based in private practice on the Sunshine Coast, where he works with a diverse group of surgeons and cares for both adult and paediatric patients. His regular caseload includes Head and Neck Surgery, Ophthalmic Procedures, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, and Urology.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr Beck is actively involved in global and Indigenous health initiatives, contributing to organisations such as CheckUP, Australian Aid, and RACS Global Health. He regularly participates in surgical outreach missions to remote Pacific Island communities, focusing on head and neck surgery. He also presents at anaesthetic conferences and teaches on national anaesthetic and paediatric emergency courses.

Outside of medicine, Andy enjoys spending time with his family and making the most of the relaxed coastal lifestyle on the Sunshine Coast.
