Dr Nellie Dick completed her BMedSc (Hons) at Queensland University of Technology and her MBBS (Hons) at the University of Queensland, graduating in 2005. She went on to complete her specialist anaesthesia training in Southeast Queensland and became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2017. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education. 

Dr Dick is a Specialist Anaesthetist in private practice on the Sunshine Coast and joined the Sunshine Coast Anaesthetic Group in 2018. She provides anaesthetic care across all private hospitals in the region, working in a broad range of surgical specialties, and is committed to delivering patient-centred care with a strong focus on safety and comfort.

Her anaesthetic interests include Acute Pain Management and Regional Anaesthesia, Paediatric Anaesthesia, Enhanced Recovery after Surgery, and Perioperative Medicine. She is also passionate about education and simulation, quality improvement, and staff wellbeing. She is actively involved in education within private hospitals and is a member of the Queensland ANZCA ACE Committee, in addition to having contributed to initiatives such as trainee mentorship, just-in-time registrar training, and enhanced recovery protocols.

Outside of her professional work, Nellie enjoys outdoor adventures and endurance sport and has a strong interest in environmental advocacy. She values spending time with her family and friends.
