Dr Nick Courtney

MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, University of Queensland, 1997) FANZCA (Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, 2007)

Dr Courtney undertook Anaesthetic training both in Queensland (Nambour General and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospitals) and Belfast, Northern Ireland (Royal Victoria Hospital, Northern Ireland), becoming a consultant in 2007. He has lived and worked on the Sunshine coast since this time initially full time as a public anaesthetist, with prominent roles in teaching and as a supervisor of training for several years and later transitioning to full time private practice.

Areas of special interest include Major Orthopaedic Surgery, Regional Anaesthesia and Acute Pain Management, ENT, Eye, General, Urological and Vascular surgery, and Obstetric Anaesthesia and Analgesia.

When not at work Nick makes the most of the Sunshine coast lifestyle including regular surfing and fishing.
