Dr Nick Hutton is a Specialist Anaesthetist who earned his medical degree from the University of Otago, New Zealand and completed undergraduate training in New Zealand, New South Wales, and the UK. He then undertook specialist anaesthetic training in Auckland and Brisbane, which he completed in 2007. Dr Hutton was subsequently awarded Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2008.

Dr Hutton joined the Sunshine Coast Anaesthetic Group in 2009 and provides specialist anaesthetic services to private hospitals across the Sunshine Coast. His subspecialty interests lie in Ambulatory Day Surgery, Paediatrics and Difficulty Airway Management. He is a qualified Aeromedical Retrieval Consultant with Careflight, the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the Australian Defence Force.

Dr Hutton has been on the Queensland Committee of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists since 2019 and was Chair of the Anaesthetic Craft Group and on the Medical Advisory Committee at Buderim Hospital from 2015 to 2019. He has also been on the Medical Advisory Committee at Sunshine Coast Day Surgery since 2019.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys endurance sports including multiple Ironman Finisher and Cycling Ultras, Combat Robotics and Rocketry.
