Dr Anna Pietzsch

Bio:
Dr Pietzsch completed medical school at Griffith University graduating in 2010 with first class honours. She had an early passion for anaesthetics and completed her training in South-East Queensland. Dr Pietzsch was awarded the Cecil Gray Prize for attaining the highest marks across Australia and New Zealand for her final anaesthetic exam. Her current clinical work is divided between the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) and private hospitals on the Sunshine Coast.

Dr Pietzsch is a current instructor on Effective Management of Anaesthesia Crises (EMAC) and Airway Course for Critical Care and Emergency (ACE) courses. She is the clinic lead for the anaesthetic clinic at SCUH and also a leader in perioperative medicine. She is also the clinical lead at SCUH for anaesthesia for maxillofacial surgery. Dr Pietzsch has a passion for the wellbeing of anaesthetists and has publications and national guidelines on the management of pregnancy and return to work for anaesthetists.

Dr Pietzsch has a varied practice across adult and paediatric anaesthesia. When she is not at work she spends time with her family and friends and enjoys the blessed life we have on the Sunshine Coast.
